Juicy Turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving!! Canada that is!! We were almost NOT going to have a turkey dinner this year….that would of been tragic. I’ve been so excited for the last 2 days – ready to chow down!We woke up too late on Sunday to make turkey so we saved it for today since everyone had the day off anyways! I’ll admit I didn’t do most of the work…I have no idea how to make turkey but I made the mashed potatoes (which were delish) with little mini blue and yellow potatoes, milk, and tons of butter and pepper. I also made the gravy with the turkey drippings – I winged that one! It was actually really easy to make – just boil the fat/drippings, mix flour with warm water and when the fat comes to a boil, mix it in quickly so it doesn’t clump up. Add salt and peppercorns…and voila! Delicious gravy!!

The prep work...kitchen was a mess!

Stephy, I’d be happy to show you how to cook a turkey. I find that using those cooking bags that you can get from the grocery store helps a ton. It cooks faster, juicier and is a lot less mess. Get a throw away aluminum roasting pan and you’re golden. All the instructions are on the bag. Cook a Butterball and it has turned out perfectly here for 20 years for me so far.
Glad you got some turkey and a real thanksgiving and if you have questions babe, you have me to ask. I would never let you down babes! Not my style.
